This system is a top of the line bookshelf/boombox type stereo for Sharp in 2001.
It plays minidisc, supports MDLP, plays CDs and has radio. With the remote it has added capabilities including changing the color of the display.
It includes the original remote and manual. All functions other than noted below in the " Issues
" section are working. Issues:When you turn it on, it automatically goes to "play a minidisc" mode, I'm not sure if that's a feature or a bug, you can simply change the mode though. I'm mentioning this just in case. The "cd open/close" button is non-functional because I removed the cd door opening motor because the motor was dead and prevented the door from opening. To play a cd, simply open the door with your hands and then close it. The CD player functionality is otherwise not affected in any way and works great. I am including the cd door mech in a bag as shown. The speaker grille cloth is discolored with some holes and rips.
