Powers on only when connected to DC power cable. Battery compartment is fairly corroded, and it doesn't seem to read discs properly. The unit is in good cosmetic condition, with only a handful of scuffs and scratches, mostly localized to the rear section of the unit. The display lights up and the buttons seem to work. As this item is being sold AS-IS, this item should be considered to have defects, and we have done our best to disclose them.
